Over the years, my weight has gone through several ups and downs, and I've learned a lot about myself in the process. I've tried different approaches — Atkins, low-carb, grapefruit, keto, carnivore, intermittent fasting — and each one taught me something about how my body responds and what helps me feel my best.
I've made steady improvements to my daily habits: cutting out sodas, milk, bread, processed foods, and most of the things that were working against me. Some of those slipped back in from time to time, but they're easy to remove again, and I'm doing exactly that.
My weight has fluctuated over the years, sometimes dropping quickly, sometimes climbing back up during stressful seasons. What I've learned is that the real goal isn't perfection — it's consistency, awareness, and treating myself with respect instead of frustration.
Right now, I'm focused on a simple, sustainable plan built around low-carb eating, intermittent fasting, and whole foods. I'm aiming first for 240, then 230, and eventually 200 — but I'm approaching it with patience instead of pressure. No more beating myself up. No more “never again” ultimatums. Just steady progress and healthier choices.
I've found some great resources along the way, including Dr. Mark Hyman's Eat Your Medicine and the CarbDodging community, which helped me understand how food affects energy, inflammation, and long-term health. Intermittent fasting has also been a game-changer for me, helping reset hunger signals and break old habits.
This journey isn't about chasing a number — it's about building a lifestyle that supports the things I want to do, the places I want to go, and the life I want to live. I'll keep sharing updates as I go, but the focus now is on health, consistency, and self-respect.
Have a joyful life, and always walk with God.
